Surely, any records of M. vogti in the Davis Mountains are in error, as that area is much too far west for this species?  I've not heard of vogti being found any further west than the area around Brackettville.

Yeah....its not Davis. Its closer to central TX

Th thing with this species is you'll never see them outside a monsoon season. You have to hit the spot right after it gets a heavy rain or you wont have any luck. Also, larvae often starve and die if you change out their substrate (like many other Megasoma species) so couple of people who tried them lost their culture this way.

1. Do you put the larvae together in a large container?

2. When they turn L2 do you put 1 in each individual container separately?

3. Can you filter out the frass and mix the old substrate with new substrate without any problems?

I was told its best to just move the eggs to the enclosure you'll keep them in until they turn into adults with no substrate change
