Trailblazr80
I might be going to Arizona soon to backpack Rim to Rim, and might do some extra driving around the state. Might do some beetle hunting -specifically looking for blue death feigning beetles, and any other cool beetles! Scarab, tiger, and dung beetles as well. I've heard of Madera County as a popular spot, any others? Best month to go?
Peter Clausen
You won't see bdfb's in Madera, but nearly everything else is there. I say best month to go is August, but it depends on what all you want to see. August is best for beetles.

Greatwun
I've heard of Madera Canyon and Nogales. And as stated above August is really good or September.

JWRay
At least for tiger beetles, Willcox Playa is the place to be.
Trailblazr80
At least for tiger beetles, Willcox Playa is the place to be. Cool, thanks! There's so many good spots out there, I need to research and figure out what area I will be. Too bad I won't be able to cover it all! JWRay
Yeah it is pretty much impossible to cover it all - there are tons of great collecting spots and beautiful scenery. It just comes down to picking your top priority or two and targeting those times / places. Good luck.
