Ryan Minard Posted January 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 Thanks for the comment. This is a very nice beetle! The male is slightly under 70mm (67 or 68). Not bad at all. The female is about 46mm. Comparable to D. granti as far as size I guess. These guys are STRONG! The male was lifting a good sized log piece yesterday. Hahaha! I really want to get some native Rhino beetles now. I think Dynastes would be good to get but I have a higher chance of acquiring Strategus.
