*IMPORTANT* Is this okay for L. elaphus

Recommended Posts

So they pupated in the main container I had them in. I took them out because I wanted to get a head count. I placed them back on top of the soil each in their own little depression uncovered. My main fear is they’ll dry up…or die because I have them like this. Should I cover them back up? Keep them as is? This is my first time dealing with these beetles. Thanks.

Should be near zero vents, otherwise you could dry out pupae in a day enough they would never recover from.

Does this apply for all pupae? Or mostly just lucanus
