HeavyBeetle Posted May 5, 2022 Report Posted May 5, 2022 Hi all, nice to meet you! I'm brand new to beetles! I've been wanting to get into beetle rearing for close to a decade, but wasn't able to get around to learning anything about it until now. I don't have any beetles yet, but am thinking of starting with either Dynastes tityus or Lucanus elaphus. I've been reading Orin McMonigle's book on beetle breeding and I'm super excited to get started! Looking forward to learning from everyone here! Quote
Ratmosphere Posted May 5, 2022 Report Posted May 5, 2022 Welcome! I recommend starting with Dynastes tityus, super fun species to keep and one of my all time favorites. Quote
HeavyBeetle Posted May 6, 2022 Author Report Posted May 6, 2022 Thanks very much! Right on, I will most likely be starting with Dynastes tityus. I might even be able to find a few in the wild here, if I'm lucky! Thanks for the welcome! Quote
