Ratmosphere
Found this on my hike today. Any ideas on what it is? (Photos deleted.)
Shade of Eclipse
Not sure what species, but it looks like a mycotrophic plant in the genus Monotropa. These neat plants do not produce their own food through photosynthesis and rely on fungi that break down organic material to supply them with nutrients. Chuck4th
It's called Indian pipe some places. No photosynthesis, no chlorophyll.
