Chuck4th Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 He seems a bit too greenish to me, but what do I know. Quote
Hisserdude Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Well there's only 2 Dynastes species in north america, and D.granti is a light grayish brown color, and has much longer horns. Quote
InsectaJaeger888 Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Oooooh I know what species that is and it isn't a Dynastes tityus, that is a Dynastes Hyllus a species closely related to D. tityus. there are three subspecies this one based on coloration and appearance is the most northern population of its kind from Mexico. The further south you go to find this species the more and more they gradually look like the larger Dynastes hercules in coloration and pattern. Quote
