Lucanus Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 Couple of months ago, I found a mysterious Prionid larva inside a fallen log. I brought the larva to my house to see what it will turn into and waited for it to grow into adult. On March 21, 2014, the beetle emerged and was IDed as Sphenostethus taslei (it was IDed by me so it could be wrong). Here are some pics of the individual that emerged not too long ago.
