dday303
Does anyone keep millipedes and feed them beetle jellies? Do they like them? I'm just looking for alternatives for my millies because I'm tired of digging moldy fruit and vegetables out of their tanks everyday. Thanks for reading. LarvaHunter
I caught a millipede and was feeding it bananna, then I tried beetle jelly after a few weeks of bananna, and it did eat the beetle jelly.
dday303
I figured it wouldn't be a problem just seeing if anyone has tried it, thanks.
Philibugman
What kind of millipedes?
LarvaHunter
The one I fed was a Chicobolus spinigerus.
Dynastes
It would be an okay treat. Millipedes will eat bettle jelly but if that is all you feed them they will be killed from subpar nutrition. Eventually could be a few months, longer for adults, much, much shorter for small immatures.
LarvaHunter
What is the best thing to feed them?
LarvaHunter
I know as detritivores they eat decomposting plants and animals, and fecal matter in nature. Is decomposed leaves enough?
LarvaHunter
I don't want to have to feed rotten animals or fecal matter if possible. I guess we won't know.
