Satoshiek
Hi. I'm from Brazil and I just got my first two beetles (2 Male Strategus Aloeus) and I'm enjoying taking care of them. I caught them in nature and I guess I will try to get a female or two. This is actually not my first post, but I was desperate on figuring out how to take care of these guys so I did another topic on "Breeding" section. But anyway, I'm here now giving you guys a hello. Satoshiek
hello i am curious have you seen any giant ant species or do you live in the city, your english is super good, and by the way i'm taiwanese my english is super bad. Thanks, but my english is not THAT good, and yours seems good too. But anyway, I do live in the city and there are ants everywhere. There are super tiny ones and really huge ones. Sometimes I see REALLY BIG RED ANTS, but it´s rare. What do you mean by "giant ant species"? If you mean something like 3cm, it is very common here see ants like this everyday. Dynastes
Welcome! Those are some beautiful beetles! Those are not Strategus aloeus or any other Strategus because the horn is never on the head, it is on the front of the pronotum.
