Fledgling
Hi everyone! I am very new to this whole beetle breeding, in fact I've only discovered it's existence hours ago, but I would love to start doing this myself. I was wondering, if perhaps, that anyone knew a good place to start?
Dynastes
One of the first things I'd do is see what interesting beetles can be collected in my area and give them a try first. Another suggestion is to get a book/s on breeding beetles to get an idea of the requirements for the specific type of beetle of interest. There are three beetle breeding manuals at htt://www.elytraandantenna.com and you can also purchase them through e-bay, amazon, etc. Of course there are other types of beetles with very different husbandry and these cover just the more common pets. Peter Clausen
Welcome Fledgling! Feel free to ask lots of questions here. The forum is still poorly known, but there are a lot of hardcore beetle fans here and they check in to help out from time to time.
