psyc1210
Found this grub in a tree stump. This is the first grub I've found. Not sure what species it might be, and have been trying to research what the possibilities are. So far I can't seem to figure it out with comparing raster pattern photos online. Any ideas? Thanks for looking!

Dynastes
Adding one more photo I'm going to guess you're in eastern North America and add in the habitat (rotten stump), light colored, smoother head capsule and guess Pelidnota punctata. Yes sorry, I forgot to say I'm in Maryland. How large do the larvae get for that species?
