Ometeo
The other day I stopped by a friends stables to pick up some manure for the P. vindex and found some Canthon sp. rolling some dung away. I decided to bring some with me and have had them for a couple of days now. Today I checked on them and found a couple of strange looking filaments in the container and one coming from the anus of one of the beetles. They are black/gray in color, reminded me of beads on a string. THe whole line was over 4" long, and i found some smaller ones that must have been expelled earlier. My question is, are they parasites or is it merely poop? The whole container is quarantined anyway, but I wanted to know if anybody else had seen or experienced something similar? Thank you for your input.
Ometeo
upon further investigation I believe it to be it's own fecal matter.
