arachknight
Do beetles find each other by pheremones? If so is there a way to mimic this as an alternative to collection by a white sheet and light? Could a pheremone spray be created using the frass of the larvae to draw beetles to a location of your choice? Anyone know of research regarding this? Ok this is a specific case born from necessity. I'm talking about entomologists attracting other beetles. Do you know of any studies underway? I would be most fascinating way to determine range of the pheremone and beetle distribution, especially for the uncommon and rare species.
