it is july!!! also, I see a lot of L.capreolus carcasses, I don't know what's eating them, but I wish i could find them alive

That sucks! I've seen some birds eating beetles so maybe some birds are feeding on L. caprelous.

no, i just figured it out, it's chipmunks!!!! found a half eaten male by a chipmunk hole. I'm gonna throw some ajax and scrubbing bubbles in that chipmunk hole and teach it not to mess with them!!!

I never knew that they feed on stag beetles. That's interesting.
