justahomeowner
I've searched resources trying to identify this little green beetle. I found it outside as it was walking on a damp, rotted piece of wood near the house (old handrail about 4 feet off the ground). I had taken down a lot of foliage and branches recently, so a lot was disturbed. The beetle is about 1/4" long, and the closest I can find is maybe some sort of Tortoise Beetle? That's only a guess, but I cannot find a definitive identification. Please help if you know what this might be.
