The Beetle Guy
I am planning on keeping some superworm beetles with my desert darkling beetles. I have been trying to do some research into the lifespans of adult superworm beetles so that I know how often to add new adults among other things. It turns out this is a difficult thing to find a straight answer to. Most sources say under a year (which I expect is the case) but others say they can live up to 3 years. There is plenty of information about this species, but only as larva and not adults. I have kept superworm beetles before as feeders, but I didn't track how long each one lived. There is so much conflicting info out there. Do any of you fellow beetle enthusiasts know for sure how long they may live as adults? Has anyone else kept them with desert darkling beetles? If so, how did they fare?
Garin
Hisserdude would be the guy to ask that question. He breeds many tenebrionids.
