vinegaroonie
Hello! Living in Florence, Italy, and on several occasions while walking to school I have come across some largish black beetles with teal blue leg segments and thin blue lines around its body. Found on an asphalt walkway with maple and sycamore leaf litter. -Niko
Hisserdude
It looks like a darkling beetle, but the tarsi pads look too large, almost like a leaf beetle's.
Bill Myers
Well... I'm leaning towards a leaf beetle of some sort... I'd say genus Timarcha... ...Maybe species tenebricosa... ...Or, possibly nicaeensis... Nah, I'll stick with the more common Timarcha tenebricosa: Yup, that's my guess.
