AlexW
This is going to sound outrageous. With only one exception (a female which died last week of old age), all of the superworm beetles that hatched last summer/fall and didn't die of unnatural causes are still alive today! Any idea why they are living more than twice as long as their normal lifespan of four months? I keep them in oats and feed with various fruit twice a week when available. LarvaHunter
Maybe nutrition and temperatures? They are probably in the perfect environment.
Hisserdude
One of my females lived over a year. It just seems like some individuals live longer than others.
