manticora Posted November 25, 2012 Report Share Posted November 25, 2012 yeah, maybe soaked sphagnum moss/paper towel,so the larvae can hang out in there in the little water there is,but with being moved around alot,they can anchor themselves to the moss/paper towel in the water,hmm can be alittle risky. The larvae of Dytiscus are air breathing. I would try putting them in a tub with some damp, but not dripping, paper towels. This should keep them humid enough not to dry out in the post.
