Hello Everyone,
I am looking to pull together as many specimens / species of the genus Chlaenius from North America that I can.
Chlaenius are easy to find ground beetles that typically occur under rocks, downed wood & debris along streams, ponds, and moist areas - although species are also known from prairies and uplands as well.
Here is what I am interested in:
1) up to 10 specimens of a given species from a given locality
2) killed by freezing or in alcohol (everclear, ethanol) - but NOT ethyl acetate or anything else that would affect DNA.
3) interested in the same species from different locations provided the locations are in some way geographically isolated.
Here is the bugguide page on these guys for more info:

I have quite a bit of dry/dead stock I would trade or exchange (buprestids, tiger beetles, Carabus spp. etc) or I would discuss a purchase if we can figure out a reasonable value.
I know its a long shot, BUT if anyone is out collecting and flipping rocks and wants to nab these up for me let me know.
Feel free to hit me up to discuss and THANKS!
TRACKING SO FAR:
Specimens received: 13
Species received: 2
States covered: 1
Counties covered: 1
