What do you feed Larvae of Dynastinae?

I think most hobbyists in North America collect rotten wood from wooded areas. I've never heard of anyone successfully rearing larvae on potting soil and don't think it would work for many beetles except for maybe Goliathus since the larvae can be fed dog food primarily.

 
since i live in South Korea, i drive on down to E-mart, go to the pet section, and buy a few bags of beetle dirt. easy. haha.... sorry.....

but i fed my Cotinis Texana larvae the compost i found them in which mainly consisted of rotting leaves, wood, and banana peels.
