I've used tissue on Dorcus brevis and it has worked! Now I'm trying it on some elaphus to see how it goes (not my male though... he's in his original pupal cell).

Well...I found clay to be good for making artificial pupal cells since they are easy to shape the pupal cell with it. Also, that's where they pupate anyway lol.
