Found these with @Lucanusas well. Since dearest Alan didn’t manage to breed it last time hopefully I have some luck! What a neat sp! I found a ton of rare beetles this trip (since Alan REFUSES to bust open harder logs lol), including Alaus patricus!

Alan should have them. I didn't keep the patricus. I got an adult pair last year to attempt breeding and failed (from key largo light trapping) so I will let them get established before I try again.

Sadly no. I’ve gotten plenty at Ocala FL tho, personally haven’t had them come to my MV anywhere south of that.

1 month. Not very long. They will feed on beetle jelly though .
