Not a success breeding story, but I collected a large number of Megalodacne fasciata (Fabricius) from polypore mushrooms growing on oak trees, including specimens at various life stages, from larvae to adults. I attempted to breed the adults in captivity but was unsuccessful. However, I was able to raise larvae to adulthood simply by keeping them on the same mushrooms collected from the original site. The mushroom was very moist at the time of collection, by the way. One observation from my past experience was that the larvae sometimes crawled out onto the surface of the mushrooms when the humidity inside their enclosure was high.
