Opps... Perlite

so i accidentally added organic potting soil that had perlite in it to my substrate... id ground up the potting soil and had forgotten that it had perlite and added it in my mix of oak and alder... is this going to affect my larvae? do i need to toss it and make a new batch? id prefer not too because its hard for me to come up with the wood and leaves...

 
the perlite is so ground up you cant even tell its there... i know its a type of glass so im not sure if its safe or not to put larvae in...

 
Should be ok I think - Perlite is just expanded rock particles so it should be fairly inert as far as the larvae are concerned.

 
If eaten it might block up the intestinal tract of some animals (probably less than 10% even if it does happen).

 
im going to risk it, lol... there was such a small amount and its so finely ground up i think ill be ok... ill just be sure not to make this mistake again
