looking for Megasoma sleeperi and Megasoma vogti

I'm also interested in M vogti!

As far as M sleeperi, I believe Peter carries them during the season, so send him an email.

Hi everybody, I am still searching for Megasoma sleeperi and Megasoma vogti, if anyone is currently or planning on selling the larva of these two species, I would be happy to buy some.

Sorry for the delayed response, it'd be WC adults. This past year wasn't very good for them, I talked to several people that went out and either found a specimen or two or got none. Kind of disturbing. Hopefully this will be a better year for them.

M. vogti is actually reasonably common - IF YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT AREA.  What makes this species "rare", is its rather limited distribution.  You also have to be looking at just the right time.

Cool video.  I have heard it was a good year for them. There was someone on facebook that posted that he caught quite a few of them about two weeks ago. He generally gets some every year. He has the advantage of living in the area where they are found.

That's always been my experience with insects, "locally common" is the phrase I'd use, you just need to be in the local area.

Every now and then you'll discover a place just crawling with the things you thought were uncommon.
