LF Beginner Scarab Species

I recently acquired a large amount of white-rotten wood and humus from leaf litter, so I should be all set to raise some beetle larvae. Would prefer pricing under $25 if possible, since I may buy a few of each if I have enough budget. If anyone has offers for any, please PM me. My preferred species are (but not limited to):

Chrysina sp.

Lucanus sp.

Megasoma sp.

If anyone has access to micro-sized stag beetles like Sinodendron rugosum or Platycerus oregonensis, I'd love to have those.

None of those are beginner species in the multi-generational sense, what about Dynastes tityus?

I happen to have a female from BIC in a container with soil and rotten wood right now. Hopefully she's mated and will lay eggs; I'll check sometime around Valentine's Day to see if there are any. I had a male too, but he died a while ago.

Chrysina don't seem that hard, all I need is some white-rot wood and clay soil later on for pupation right?

All those species are easy to rear from eggs, it's getting eggs from captive adults of those that's more for advanced keepers.

If you are referring the Chrysina as the C. gloriosa, then yes. It is an easy species to handle multiple generations. Not anything else in that genus. I had C. gloriosa for two to three generations with no clay soil or white rot wood at all, just regular oak substrate. But never tried other species than that, and heard they are all very tricky and sensitive...

I would strongly recommend Hemiphileurus illatus

I'd definitely be interested in those. I had my eye on Phileurus truncatus for a while too, are H. illatus similar in care? Pretty cool that the adults are carnivorous...

truncatus are very seasonal on egg laying, illatus are much easier and females do not have horns, illatus are smaller than truncaus but way bigger than valgus
