Importing beetles

Hey guys so I was digging around on the legality of Importing stag beetles into California and from the California food and agricultural website I found a pdf that lists all species of insects in which permits are not required to import or ship in. Granted it's an older pdf but when I searched the site it's the only list that pops up. Good news!

I don't know much about CA's laws but from what I understand if it's native then it should be fine.

Yes, I checked with the USDA on this and they were aware of the PDF in question and said it was misleading.

It is only legal to import or ship Lucanidae into CA (from any country or state!) if you have a USDA or FWS permit.
