How to breed Strategus Aloeus/Ox Beetles? I need help!

I would set up a tank for these in the same way as a tank for Dynastes. Give them a nice deep tank with a deep layer of soil or substrate in the bottom. Mix some soft decayed white wood into the soil - wood you can crush with your hands is ideal. The substrate should be at least 20cm deep - 30 cm would be better. Make sure the bottom 10cm of substrate is pushed down hard so it is almost solid - this should encourage the females to lay. Put the female in the tank, she should go underground for several days to lay eggs, then come back to the surface to feed. Banana works well for most species. Leave the tank for at least 6 weeks before you go digging for eggs.

I mentioned in the other thread, those are beautiful rhinos but they're not Strategus. Strategus do not have horns on the head.

Orin is right. This is not a beetle in genus Strategus.

It's a species with scientific name Coelosis bicornis.

Thanks for the information. All this time I thought they were Strategus Aloeus. Now I know what they really are, thank you very much.
