Grubs inactive

Hi, I’m a first time-owner and just got two grubs, one is an L1-L2 Giraffe stag, the other is an L1-L2 Rainbow stag. Just asking if it’s normal that the grubs are inactive at first.

On one hand I’m thinking, they’re young, they’re cold, they’re nocturnal, just give them a little time! But on the other hand I’m a bit worried they might be dead.

Depends on how you have observed them "inactive." Were they inside the substrate? or on top of the substrate? If you ever touch the container, then they do stop moving (or feeding). That's normal.
