Found more!!!!!

Good luck man, hope these guys get going for you! Very pretty species!

This is going to sound kind of stupid, but how do you differentiate between male and female? Both seem to have horns (which is really cool, by the way), but is there an evident characteristic that can be seen in the pics? It could be something really obvious that I just haven't picked up on since I'm not familiar with this species...

Wait, you told me that I won't be getting eggs if I don't get them before October. So how did u get the eggs?

Mine were multiple generation captive bred which affects timing. You have wild-caught and if you did not have them set up correctly well before October the chances of you getting eggs were near zero. I collect tityus eggs from December to March each year but if someone had wild-caught would you suggest I tell them to wait till December to set up the egg laying cage?

So there aren't any special ways to induce them to lay eggs at the time they aren't suppose to lay eggs. Was hoping to learn if there was some secrete to it but I guess there aren't any (beside keeping them for multiple gen.).

Not that I know of, maybe you can discover one.

Once I get my second generation, I'm going to try putting female into a refrigerator for few weeks than expose her to warm temperature to see if this will work. Have you tried this method by chance?

I tried a number of things. For good production you would probably be best off cooling and conditioning the females for the proper time but since you seem to be able to find them easily you can always collect more if it does not work out.

After some thinking, I decided neither to trade nor sell this species to anyone due to my past experience with P. valgus (I lost my culture because I sold away my larvae without thinking ahead).

Sorry for those of you who are waiting to get this species from me.

I'm a very patient man. I can wait a few years.

I was wondering what you consider a "stable culture." Do you have a certain breeding program or number of grubs and larvae you keep?

Nice, they're getting big. Wish they came a bit further north! Might have to make a trip south to collect a few over the summer...

They should be found in your area as long as there is a still-standing dead tree with cavity in your area. These guys are widely distributed.
