Enclosure tips for adult D. Tityus? (Bioactive?)

Hey, I have an 18x18x18 I posted about earlier, but as I'm wrapping up my Children's python tank build first I realized I liked building backdrops, picture attached. (Ignore the lighting, I'm completely redoing it) I want to give my beetles a detailed enclosure as well. Would a smaller, flatter version of these rocks be okay, or too rough for for their claws? The method I used was spray foam coated with tinted Drylok Original, and sealed with aquarium sealant. It has a bumpy texture, but less rough than say, skateboard grip tape would be. Very similar to a piece of gravel. I figure it would also hold up in higher humidity.

I was also considering going bioactive, but I'm not sure if their burrowing would be a problem, with them reaching the drainage layer. Or, if the springtails and isopods would bother them, bother their jelly cups, or the dynastes tityus would accidentally dig up any plant roots. Opinions? Has anyone here housed bigger beetles in bioactive?

I think it could work for males, but if you want to make it easy; Walmart container with drilled holes and moist sphagnum moss.
