Do you have to move Gymnetis thula larva to individual smaller containers?

I’m ecstatic my harlequin flower beetles have LOTS of larva in their enclosure! The enclosure has about 5 inches of oak flake under some larger wood chunks as well as some ferns and things. Do I need to dig up the entire enclosure once the adults have all died to put them in smaller containers or can I just leave them to mature where they are?

That species normally can make cells in very crowded conditions with no problems. You may still be too overcrowded to adequately feed them.

I was going to say I could change the substrate out more often but if I’m doing that I might as well put them in smaller containers I guess.
