Do any of you use water crystals for your beetles?

Hello, I saw some posts on other forum about water crystals. Have any of you used them with beetles? And what was your setup and if you don't mind, what kind you bought and where. If you recommend a different source of water, please let me know. And I do use carrots, but my desert darklings like to drink a little more then my BDB.

By water crystals do you mean like the quencher jelly? I use it for my confused flour beetle, as she's too small for a suitable water dish. Her setup is a small critter cage. I got the cage from a trade. It's actually a rearing cage for my baby roaches she occupies. Substrate is coconut soil and a toilet paper roll for climbing and hiding.

That stuff is great, but some insects have different needs than others. Some insects can actually dry out if they have no access to water just to bath in, like some species of millipedes and rice scarab beetles.

I always used fruit or beetle jelly, or watered down 100% pure maple syrup.  But it depends on the beetle.
