I have been keeping Dynastes tityus larva in individual 16oz. deli cups for a number of years.

A standard "ten gallon" aquarium is typical for adult beetles of the "pet" variety. However, the lid should not have much screen (ventilation) because many pet beetles tend to dry out easily and this can contribute to a shorter lifespan.
