Many beetles only fly at certain times of day/night.

Those beetles are solitary so they drink too much while the social ants don't get lost in the bottle. Maybe the ants have set up near a food source? They have no trouble with glass.

They haven't thrown anyone in jail for a while which usually cools it down for a little bit.

That looks like a piece of dirt or part of a beetle. Scarab grubs are white.

I produced a number of larvae but realized almost too late they eat each other. They laid in flake soil and the eggs were crazy large.
