Lucanus Elaphus Location in Wild?

If the distribution of elaphus extends into Canada, it would likely only be into a few areas of far southern Ontario (and possibly Quebec), although I've not heard of any confirmed records of this species in Canada. Here's a range map for elaphus (based on habitat suitability) -

Ok thank you! Alberta is much too far north and west for elaphus.Ok thank you! I’m from Alberta and was hoping to go herping and see some but I guess that probably won’t happen

There were a recent paper confirming them to be in Michigan and Iowa. I think Canada's regulations regarding non-native insects have always been rather relaxed, as compared to the US?

The map I posted indicates areas of habitat suitability ranging from high to low, but not necessarily places where elaphus has been recorded. The dots however, indicate the locations of known population clusters.
