How to sex Gymnetis thula

I just bought two and wondered how to sex them.

I've heard that there's a way of determining the sex in thula by looking for subtle differences in the abdominal sternites, although the coloration of the sternites, while variable between individuals, doesn't have anything to do with their sex.
