Green weevil

[Dynastes]

I see a number of little weevils around (never any big ones here) and some have pretty neat shapes. This 6mm guy (northern Ohio) really caught my eye.

Nice photo. It has some yellow in it too. Some of the smallest bugs are the most colorful. Too bad humans don't have better eyes to appreciate. Of course, most people can see plenty well but don't care.

It may be Polydrusus impressifrons, a relatively harmless import. The yellow is a result of the flash and refraction from the structural color, it's not really there.
