I was wondering about something I hope someone on the forum might be able to enlighten me on. I do urban farming and keeping chickens is very common however like any type of poultry chickens do produce a lot of manure. I have considereds starting a dung beetle project to see if there is a more direct way to recycle the manure and turn it into nitrogen rich fertilized through the insects feces but while the idea sounds good on paper there is one looming issue. So far, I've reared 2 C.maxillosus from egg to adult!
Breeding Creophilus maxillosus, one of the larva looks like it's pupating!
Dang, I lost a few larvae this week due to the low humidity of winter. Gotta' get a humidifier...
