I stumbled on this forum after doing some research on rainbow stag beetles, of which I recently purchased some L2 larvae. I’m somewhat of a newbie. As a kid, I often spent summers in Japan and was enthralled by the insects there, particularly beetles. When I was about 10, I raised my first Allomyrina dichotoma from a L3 to an adult before flying home to the US. When I returned home, I was disappointed that I could no longer enjoy the same products and support that I saw in Japan for keeping insects. I’m so glad that there are forums like this, online shops, and resources to learn more about this hobby that I’ve picked up again after 40+ years.
