I thought it was eleodes hispilabris but none of it's offspring have had the red strip Down the back, which is what a normal E. Hispilabris should look like. However some pictures of this species on bugguide have no strip down the back. Is it a color morph or something? It also resembles E. Obscurus, but my beetle is more rounded than E. Obscurus.
