Peters colony probably needs to grow a bit more before he sells them to any one else though.

Yeah I'm assuming his colony needs to "reboot" itself for a while
That's very cool tho! You definitely need to post some pics of your new starter colony! What are you going to feed them? I was watching a video on youtube of someone who had a colony of them in a vial (looked like one of the Thornton Plastics) and supposedly they'd been kept in there for quite a few years living on dog biscuits. So I would imagine they'd feed on any grain product and would require a protein source. Looks like it's time to experiment!

I am going to feed them assorted dry foods. Mostly cat food, but I will give them some oats and fish food and stuff like that. And I will give them a piece of a cuttlebone for calcium, the rest of the dry foods should have enough protein and such for them.

Oh wow, how didn't I realize that was Peters video?! Those are extremely cool beetles! Any idea how quickly they reproduce? I have a colony of bean weevils (Acanthoscelides obtectus) and their reproduction rate is absolutely insane! I started with maybe 10-20 individuals about three months ago and now I literally have several thousand! I doubt spider beetles exhibit that same rate of reproduction, but it'll be interesting to see how they do for you! I'll definitely be following your progress!
