Oh and I also found some Notonectidae, they are really fun to watch hunt too.

cool, about how large are the larvae by chance? they look like dytiscus too me

Oh just found an adult, he was about 1.5 inches, so I'm pritty sure this is the specie your talking about

awesome,do you have a pic of the adult by chance?darkish greenish brown,yellow stripe?

as for shipping,small delicup/plastic bag,lots of sphagnum moss very wet/soupy,so the larvae can hang out in there,seperate(they eat eachother)but yeah with the water moving about,it may mess up the larvae,hmmm. unless you can find more adults.

Ok cool, hey do u have anything to trade??? Like rhino/stag beetle larvae??? Oh the adult I found was dead, and was a little messed up so I threw it away it was round, light brown, and about a inch and a half long. I'll try to find another one

Here's a pic of one of the larvae. I have about 20 in a ice chest right now, and this one was the easiest ones to grab. It is also one of the smaller ones, it measures to about .75 inches. It's feeding on mosquito larvae right now too

i only keep predatory beetles,i used to keep stags,dynastes in the past sorry,

the larvae are small,can't really tell which sp they are(proberly have to grow them up alittle) they are cool though,but if ya can find adults,the big ones(no rush ofcourse)maybe we'll know what these are.

i have only afew,i'm trying to get a large collection going,but not that easy

more beetles,more beetles

I collected 10+ species ranging from 1/4 of an inch to an 1.5 inches. Colors ranging from black, brown, green, and even blue

all predatory

would u be interested in trading for these??? Do you have any beetles that you would be willing to trade???
