Want to get into beetle keeping

Hello! I've posted on this forum a handful of times before with questions regarding my bess beetles. I've had an interest in possibly keeping other beetles, such as maybe something in the Dynastinae group? I live in the tropics, where I could probably find some in the jungle in my area if taking them from the wild would be plausible? I'm mostly familiar with birdkeeping, where taking specimens from the wild is a HUGE no-no, but I suppose it's different with beetles, right? I just kinda wanna get a rough idea on stuff such as how I'd get my hands on beetles, what would be some good resources for research about what they need, things like that to look into long before I decide to get one. I don't think I'd be able to buy one and have it shipped to me, since shipping takes a while to my country, and I'm not sure if there are any local beetle-keepers. Advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

First thing first, find out whether and what species are even available locally, unless you are willing to travel. Then also find out whether the species is protected in your location. Some Dynastine scarab beetles are protected in one state, while not in other states.
