Your buddy is breaking the law, then. While you're correct that you also have to check your local laws whenever handling matters of USDA/APHIS, it's illegal to import exotic plant-eating beetles or soil into the country. State to state is a whole other matter.Where do you live and you should go to your town hall cause i know depending on your state and county law depends on what you can ship cause i have a friend who lives in texas and they order stuff from places like titain monster beetle shop and iris beetle all the time and their in aisa
Pleocoma is probably a bad pet. Adults cannot eat and grubs take forever to mature =(Fair enough. That's unlikely anyone would follow through with all of those requirementa unless they are planning to be an entomologist.
Either way. What are cool native species for breeding? I feel like in the US we don't have great variation.
Lucanus Elaphus, Phaneus Vindex and a few others are gorgeous. I was hoping someone on here would be selling pleocoma beetles.
