Lousy photo, I know - all I have to work with is an iphone these days. I'd seen large grubs under manure on a few occasions, which I figured must be this species, and it was great to finally see an adult for confirmation.

Well...I like rare species, and this one happens to be one of the "rarer" Strategus in the US. I would love to give a shot at breeding some if only I could get my hands on them

Its much more rare than the common Strategus antaeus and Strategus aloeus.
