Yes I am sorry there is no picture yet, he is peacefully sleeping in his substrate. I'll get one later when I change it out.
A large black line following from the top of the head to the right mandible appeared on my L.elaphus larva's head (L3 stage btw). He's had it for some time but it just got bigger until it reached its maximum size about a few months ago. It hasn't killed him, but I'm just worried he won't be able to pupate due to some sort of illness/infection. Has anyone had similar experiences, or know of any specific Lucanus diseases that might cause this?
