Stags

Hi Bugboy, when L elaphus first elcose but stay in their pupal chamber and they are in their resting period, is it ok to disturb them? I have a few that I can see have elcosed but they are in that dormant stage. I'm dying to see what they look like but worry that I should not disturb them. Thanks.

 
Hey garin, yeah it’s ok to disturb them, handle them, etc. the main thing you can’t do is expose them to high temperatures, as it can yank them out of hibernation early and shorten their lifespan. I also wouldn’t try to feed them, it probably wouldn’t impact them but they shouldn’t eat until they came out of hibernation
